The roof, the roof, the roof is on Fire!

Last week, on my way home, it was late and since I live in a dodgy* neighbourhood, I always rather to take a bus home to a 10m walk from the tube station to my door. Anyhow, that night, it was already half past eleven and I jumped on a bus, headphones on, "NY is killing me" on and happily homewards.... But no! The turn that the bus was supposed to take, it didn't take it! So after few stops towards a wrong direction I got my ass down to the driver and asked where he was taking me. As it turned out, there was a some fire somewhere and the road was blocked and bla-bla-bla.
I got happily dropped off at the other end of my street, from where it is even longer walk...but fine, I couldn't do anything about it at this point.
When I arrived home it smelled weird inside. Smelled like gas and a bit like some plastic materials had burned....but couldn't really put my finger on what it could have been. I did investigate the house, but no luck.
Next morning, my dear flatmate says that it was our next door neighbour and the roof next to them... like a outdoor terrace that was on fire. During the daytime, she was home, got evacuated and had to spend about 2h outside. Poor thing.

Then again. On Fridayyyy. Again, after midnight, on my way home, waited for a bus for 10 minutes. In this case, I could have been home with in this time, but I was tired and I wanted to spare my tiny little feet.
The bus comes and AGAIN, it doesn't take my turn. I'm upset, getting of the next station to walk home from there and as I am half way home, there is a big accident, 2 cars had crashed, one is almost out of the road and the other one is totally broken and stands across the road, surrounded by many police- and ambulance cars. Yay! Action! Snapped few bad pictures with my shitty phone that doesn't take good shots in the dark and headed home. My feet were killing me (no NY this time).

And another "fun" bus story. Today, I was already late in the morning, when I got to the bus station, I saw the bus approaching and I thought I was lucky today. :) When I got on the bus, I didn't have enough credit on my Oyster card and the arrogant bus driver...not to say rude....suggested me to leave the bus with a gesture....and this was more than rude. I was shocked. Anything like this would never happen in Paris. Really. I don't know, I normally didn't take it as a big deal, when I didn't catch my bus because I was not waiting for it and had to run and then had the doors almost slamming in my face...fine, maybe it is like that here..different but fine, next time I will try to be a bit earlier..
Yet, today's incident is disturbing. I am now officially against bus drivers in London. They suck! And continuously againts falafels and fake fur.

*DODGY. I'm not sure what's up with the word, but the English people use it a lot! In terms of integration I have decided to start using it too. So be warned, there will be lots of dodgyness to come. In many levels.

Good night & don't let the bedbugs bite.
Love you all, xxx
