So, when in Est seems so long ago, even though it has only been a bit more than a month. My Kitty scratches on my hands, that I got from my grandmother's cat (the biggest cat in this universe), have healed, took few weeks, but even this reminder is gone by now. :)
In the meanwhile.
* I have been hooked to the best seller from not too long ago - The 50-shades. I have just finished the second book, no more than 15 min ago. I must say, the author started repeating herself a lot. In the beginning, all those sex scenes were so exciting to read, but after a while, it got boring. What kept me reading was the story itself. + some strange words that seemed sort of unneccesary or out of place----and that is not just me, who has English as not her first language, but one of my native English speaking friends agreed with me on that.
Yes, it has been interesting read. I wont go for the third one, because the second one ended well and that's what I needed to know.
Since at one point I started skipping the sex descriptions, it reminded me of a conversation I had with a few years older friend of mine back in the high-school times. We had a list of books, classical literature and less classical ones, that we had to read, as compulsory reading. So, I started out with Lev Tolstoi's "War and Peace" and I was complaining to that friend about the book, that it was difficult for me to read it, because it was boring. And she gave me tip- skip the war parts and read just the love story in between the war, because nothing fundamentally important won't happen at the war parts anyway. So that's what I did. If anyone asks, then I have read Lev Tolstoi's "Peace" and I would recommend it to anyone (not as ...um liberal...as the 50 Shades, but still good read).
* I got a new haircut or colour- fashion is my passion- the dye dipped hairstyle. I love it, in the beginning it was a bit too orange-y, but By now it has faded off a bit.

* Last week, I met up with Alar, a dude I went to go to high-school with, he lives in London too, so we went to do some catching up on a sunny Sunday with a Monday off, since it was a Easter weekend. Had loads of fun and it was soooooooo nice to see him over that long time. He's been living here for 5 years now and obviously I was the one following him that day. Many firsts - hadn't walked down the Camden canal before, visited a casino for the first time with the goal to put some pounds in there and take some out. AND! The most impressive thing he introduced me to was..........a tiny corner bar in Soho. It was amazing. Everyone was standing up and drinking and there was no space to move, it was super packed with people. I bet you wonder why this was that impressive? Well, that was mostly because there was performing a real life Drag Queen. She was soooooooo good at singing and keeping the audience entertained. She was sooooooooo beautiful and over a very long time, that was surprisingly the place where I found my dose of glamour. Who would have thought. :) She was the first one of a kind I had seen with my own eyes ever.
| Beautiful, uh? |

* As I learned from my African dinner party night(s), fun things come in pairs. The African dinner party thing was in Paris (I love Paris and miss it still a lot)...so, I had never knowinly eaten african food and then with in one week I had two parties in African style. The same thing happened with my Drag Queen thing - to the first one I went by accident with Alar, I had no clue I would end up at a place like that and be so amazed by it. And then, I had planned a girls night out with some random male strippers (!) and another DQ as the host of the evening.. this lady Queen, she was such a failure compared to Molly Moggs Superstar (Shame, but I have forgotten her name). + the strippers, they were OK I guess, nothing special... We had a fake Hen's night out just like almost any other group of girls did, but I don't think all of them were fake. What blow me away was the way all those girls were dressed at this event's audience. O-M-G! One of the girls I was with she just said: "Welcome to England!"
Obviously I am not a proponent of conservatism in clothing styles (or in anything..) But this was way too much. I couldn't find a word how to describe this, after giving this a thought the word is: VULGAR! (Capitals and bold shrift are there there for a reason). Yes. I don't see how can so many young girls find it beautiful to wear dresses that are 2cm from showing your intimate private parts away (when they have yet not been using the intoxicating liquids), with boobs pushed as high as possible (to the chin) and the décolletage as down as possible. So they were basically everyone wearing the same thing - fitted tight mini dress that showed all your shapes, super high heels and loads and loads and loads of make up. And all this with no tights because it won't go with the shoes. No coat or jacket, .....of course!
Amazes me every time. And, some of those girls there, I bet they started out with the make up in the morning, around 6h before they had to leave the house. Massive amount of it they were wearing.
...And I do follow all those fashion magazines and even the Statorialist, but hey, never noticed that this was going to be the Spring-Summer of 2013: Vulgar.
Yes, welcome to England, me.
Other than that there has not been much happening.
Note to myself - start taking notes on what needs to be told here.
Love you all.
xoxo
